Opera won't play Flash videos on YouTube & other places & is also showing weird XML code on pages

hi Geekdroppers I'm hoping that you can help me solve ths problem that I've spent weeks trying to sort out. I've just about lost my mind trying everything. The best I've seen searching all the computer help sites Google shows me when searching for this is to delete or rename the operaprefs.ini in C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Application Data\Opera\Opera, which does solve the problem, HOWEVER, it also trashes all of your other settings and customizations, and extensions you have had installed. This wasn't acceptable to me for what seems like a relatively trivial problem.

IIS7 problem. Localhost links pointing to an old local IP?

I have a local IIS7 server running that I use only once in a while and I created a simple index.htm file in it with a couple of links to other local htm files sitting in it's same folder.

Nice Free App to Speed Up Firefox In Windows and Mac

Speed Up Firefox in Windows and Mac - For Free

We all know there are possibly hundreds of ways to tweak Firefox to speed it up in this way or that. Well, here's another one, Laughing. This tiny, free program is about as easy as it gets to do, as opposed to many of the other tips and tweaks that have you digging into weird config files and settings that you don't understand. It's as easy as 1 .. 2 ... (in case you were wondering where the "3" is, there isn't one ... you're all done after "2"). Wink

Help! How do I keep my font choices in Microsoft Works Word Processor?

Hi --I need help. I am doing my addresses for Christmas cards using Works Microsoft Processor. I select the font, color and size for one address. When I do the next one, I have to do the selecting again or it goes back to whatever the PC has. Gets a little tiresome changing it for each address. How to I keep the selections I have made?

Thanks for any help.

How To Temporarily Bypass Your Browser's Cache To See The Latest Version Of A Page

In an effort to clean up the top of my Firefox display I inadvertently turned off my main menu bar.. OOOPS! Once you do that you can't get to edit to turn it back on.

Here is how to fix:

  • Hold down the "ALT" key and press these letters in this exact order: V T M
  • The Menu Bar should now be visible again

To turn it off again (if you want):

  • Go to View | Toolbars
