Question for the pros!....
I am new to using Caddy Web Server and when I try to start the Caddy server, it shows me this error message, does anyone know how to fix it?
listen tcp :80: bind: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.
I installed Microsoft IIS web server from the program Features recently to play around with, but don't want it running at all times for now. Every time I reboot and login to Windows it automatically start the IIS server, is there a way to stop this from happening and only run it when I want?
Recently I was (re)setting up IIS from scratch on my development machine and kept getting HTTP Error 503 whenever I would try to load up a local web page.
For reference, in my case it's IIS version 8.5, running on Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64-Bit, but that really shouldn't matter.
Looking in the Windows Event Viewer shows:
I need more help with my new Mac! I used to use IIS on my Windows PC to run a photo gallery software package that I could use from anywhere, and registered a domain that I used GoDaddy to point to my home server. I had to setup an SQL server on it, PHP, and everything, so it has it's own database and I've spend many hours adding pictures to it, tagging them, and so on, so I would like to just move this all over to my new Mac as painlessly as possibly. My question is, does a Mac have a built-in web server software like Windows had IIS? And if so, how do I use it?
I have a local IIS7 server running that I use only once in a while and I created a simple index.htm file in it with a couple of links to other local htm files sitting in it's same folder.
Does anyone out there have any good xp with IIS 7.5 and setting up multi user FTP sites?
