In an effort to clean up the top of my Firefox display I inadvertently turned off my main menu bar.. OOOPS! Once you do that you can't get to edit to turn it back on.

Here is how to fix:

• Hold down the "ALT" key and press these letters in this exact order: V T M
• The Menu Bar should now be visible again

To turn it off again (if you want):

• Go to View | Toolbars

Most everybody knows how to select text horizontally in MS Word, but sometimes you may need to select text vertically. For example, you might need to delete the first few words in every line in a list or, bold or italicize it. So here's how to select text vertically in Word 2007.

Just hold down the "Alt" key and select the text, now you can bold, delete, italicize, change font, or whatever it is you need to do.

Easy peasy

Here's a nifty way to delete all values entered into a workbook while keeping the formulas.

• Open the Excel worksheet containing the values and formulas.
• Hit "Ctrl G", that will bring up the Go To dialog box

• Click on "Special"

hey guys, i have just uninstalled the bonjour program from my pc. from what I've read, maybe i shouldn't have done that . what's my best course of action, now? your very airheaded friend. juliek

Ahh yes, the Windows "Command Window" ... You're already scared ... I can feel it through your shaky fingers resting on the keyboard ...
