OMFG! So, I thought I would pass this little gem on. I got a new DVD player (actually I got two of them) after a good friend bought some and loved them. Here's a link to it, below.
How to use Bit Torrent / download a torrent?
Well, I get asked often how does one use a torrent site and I'm asked to explain it simply. Yes you can Google and read all about it, but most of the time it's so technical that you still walk away not understanding. So, let me explain some of the general terms first (and I'll add more as I go on).
I know at some point in time we've all come across these terms while searching torrents and NewsGroups, but what the Hell do these terms really mean?
These words all describe the QUALITY of a video in one way or another, as released by the "scene". I recently came across a great page with information that describes them all very well, and I wanted to re-post here for posterity, and to help more people find the answers:
i join a site it new. it start wit a e and it has a goat symbol or ram. i erase my pc and cant find it. also if any one had demaniod and rember a use starte with su and know how to spell his user name that help. thank u
So I just got a new Google TV (GTV) and was checking out all of the apps for it and what they can do, I downloaded one named "Mitty" which (apparently) uses Bittorrent as it's backend, searched for the first movie that came to mind at the moment, which was the new Batman movie: The Dark Knight Rises, thought I'd grab it to see how the app worked as I figured the movie itself would look like seeing that it's not the real thing, and what do I get in my email box the next morning?
BOOM! (I X'd out the personal parts)
Today I downloaded an update for uTorrent only to discover they want to charge fees. I found this unacceptable and went to their forum to voice my complaint. After the moderator simply banned me rather than replying I have decided to boycott them. You can read my conversation at findingbetter.info/2012/02/utorrent-charges. I find it disguisting that they would care more about money than keeping a clean software. What is your take on the issue?
This is driving me crazy! I have uTorrent set to auto-start with windows on start up and every single time I boot into Windows the message box that says "This program is freeware. If you paid for it, you have been scammed, and you should get a refund." shows. I have clicked the OK button once a long time ago and it stopped showing, but decided to start again all by itself, and no matter how many times I click the OK button, it just keeps showing up again each time I reboot. Is there a registry key or something or an option somewhere to turn this annoying message off?
I saw this thread: What is the best torrent site for porn about porn torrents but wanted to ask in a porn tube thread instead.
