Parents often buy software to protect their kids on the web and to monitor what they are doing. So why would a parent pay money to do this only to have a software company like Sentry Parental Control Software collect and sell data on the kids that the parents are only trying to protect? I'm guessing that the parents didn't really read the fine print (face it sometimes its so long who really does) and didn't know that they are agreeing to the inf

Here's a little program by Microsoft to test your computer so you can see if it is capable of running the new Windows 7 operating system.

So have you ever had a friend or a relative who calls you and says they are having issues with their computer? Or they just don't understand how to do something and they need your help? Well its not always easy to just jump in your car and play the "Geek Heroes" so what do you do? Well there are some great programs out there but most are expensive. If your just doing it from time to time then no need to invest in some expensive hardware when you can simply use a free program like (click the pic to go to the site)

So I can't wait for the release date of Windows 7. I've already pre-order a copy of it and now its just a waiting game. I did find out some of the new features that will be on Windows 7

Hallo,
I often use Firefox, a great browser, and sometimes go to Tools - Options - Security - saved password to read and erase the passwords for the sites that I visit.
Do you know if there is a way to shorten this path, maybe insert something in the toolbar to speed up this task?
Thank you

Well you have to love patent laws and according to a judge in Texas he ruled that Mircrosoft is banned from selling Word in the US.

The injunction reads:

That shows the URL when you hover over a link.
Any way to get that back?

Chromium is the open source software for the Chrome web browser by Google. While Chronium is still in the pre-release stage on Linux according to The Linuxology if you want to put it on a Flash Drive it doesn't quite work. However, never fear, they found a hack that got it to work.

I have had Webroot Anti-spyware for some time now....years...this week I updated to their Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware package through thier update offer in my email.
Then when using my Right- click button it was taking 30 seconds or longer for my files to open.
Of course it took me forever to figure out it was Webroot, so I disabled it for now and left my Trend Micro operating.
My question: Why would installing Webroot mess with my Right-Click speed ???
p.s. I disabled Webroot and the Right-Click works like brand new...

So have you ever had your F2 editing button stop working? (I use mine a lot for editing cells in Excel). For the longest time mine had stopped working and well I had just given up on it. Now I've realized that there is an F Lock key
so I just pressed it again and there ya go, my F2 is working again!! Woot!
