"Start" Menu for USB Flash Drives

Since I'm on a USB kick at the moment, thought I'd post about what I consider a must have if you use a Flash DriveFlash Drive regularly. Rather than just throwing everything you use (programs, whatever) on the drive, and then opening the folder to access them from there, there are small program launchers available that essentially turn it into a small hard drive with it's own Start Menu.

Cool tool for compacting Flash Drives / USB Drives

Portable Apps has a great little tool to compress all of the progams and .dlls on your Flash DriveFlash Drive to help save (potentially a lot) of space. Normally I've been manually compressing them myself for years using UPX, and a small registry hack I made so it's just a right-click affair, but this program has built-in UPX support amongst other compressors.

Fennec - firefox for mobile

Firefox is coming out with a mobile version. What is different about this mobile is that you can use the addon's. According to PCmag the only downside is that its slugishly slow. I'm sure it has to do with the fact that its still in the testing stages. Anyways you can read about it on both PCmag.com and on Mozilla.org

You can quickly see the size of directories and sub directories by bytes or percentage. You can sort the information in a variety of ways. You can see the amount of wasted space on the drive, and you can even print out a report.
