Ok so I think I found the ultimate gadget. Its called Computer Status and it just does that, it shows you your computer status. Here is what I'm talking about - this now sits on my desk top:
Are you still using Internet Explorer (IE)? If you answer yes then you might want to think about making the change. It was discovered that IE has some pretty serious security flaw that have let people open to hackers. There are even country's that are warning people to get off of IE:
If you haven't noticed one huge change with Windows 7 is that FAT32 is no longer an option when formatting drives. You are now left with the options of either NTFS or exFAT. OK so your asking what is exFAT? Well its not FAT32, actually its compatible with FAT64.
I'm trying to figure out how to get my ie7 upgrade. It's supposed to be free because I bought the PC and I'm not real sure how to go about getting it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. juliek
So I found a really cool trick in Windows 7, one that microsoft won't tell you about. You know how when you go to your control panel on your computer you have 49 items in front of you (I just counted on mine - 49). Well there is a way to create a folder that shows all access to your operating system control panel, its called GodMode. In GodMode you don't get just 49 but you get 267 items (that is what I ended up with).
Well this is pretty exciting news!!! Yes there are other free video editing software out there but most of it falls short. If your familiar with VLC they you already know they offer a great media player. I personally use it and love it. VLC not only works on windows but also Linux and Mac OS X. If it still doesn't ring a bell maybe the icon will......
Hey all resident geniuses!
I am having a frustrating problem with IE. I cannot get a webpage up and I get the error message that it has no connection to the internet. I can log in with Firefox, no prob. My sister had sent me an email with a pdf attachment, and everytime I tried to access it, the log in message came up. I disabled pop up blocker and the AdBlock Plus thinking maybe there was something there blocking the connection. Any thoughts?
If your planning on upgrading to Office 2010 when it comes out around June 2010 and you are a XP user then you might want to think about it. According to Microsoft the new Office 2010 will not support XP 64bit. Now it will support XP 32bit. just not the 64bit. It gets even better if you are on windows server 2003 you might find some issues. Basically its Microsoft's way of telling you to upgrade. Because XP 32bit is so widely used still they are going to support that.
Hi Guys,
I told you I'd have more ?s! While trying to enroll in AVG, I run into a problem with the bottom of the page. This is just an example with AVG
, it happens on many pages. It seems like the screen is not tall enough to see all the info. So on pages where i have to click something on thge bottom of the page, I can't. I tried to change resolution but I can't check the appropriate box. I hope this isn't too confusing but I'm in a real mess . Thanks juliek
