Nice so bottom line is if you are still using Windows 2000 sp4 then your safe if not then time to jump ship. OK this happened in December but why are we really only hearing about it now? Well the hack took and script to run this attack was just posted on the internet. I won't post a link here but it took me all of 2 minutes to find it.
Now if your a true blue IE user and your not sure where to go then let me help you. Here are some other browsers that you can use:
99% of the time I use Firefox but I have a few sites that will not work in Firefox and require IE. Not only do some require IE but I have to go onto Home Depots site as a vendor and they require IE6. Ok could you not use the most vulnerable Internet Explorer? Believe it or not they are still in DOS. *I hope they google this and see that their vendors are not happy about the fact that a huge company like that lives in the computer stone ages*

I was just lecturing co-workers about IE today. I use Chrome 99% of the time. I have yet to come across a page that refuses to work in Chrome. It might not look perfect but it works. At work I use Chrome 100% of the time.
I don't use IE but thats good to know.
Well microsoft fixed this in the last patch that was out on Thur. (so if you don't auto update then you need to check it out). However not so fast on feeling safe:
Research firm Core Security Technologies said on Friday that it discovered another set of vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer that hackers can link together and exploit, to remotely access all of the data on a personal computer.
The combination would overwhelm the browser, giving a hacker access to all data on the PC after a user clicks on a malicious link, he said.

Now would be a good time to check out Chrome since the stable version just got lots of goodies that the beta and dev channel have had.

I talked a lady at work into trying it. She uses Firefox. She was shocked at how fast it is. Oh and safe did I mention that?

Single & Not Looking
wow thanks for the heads up, I use Firefox but in work I use IE.
