I often install apps just for minutes or hours, just to test them out, and then uninstall them, or buy the Pro or Donate version, and any apps I install stay permanently in the "My Android Apps" list. If I have the paid version installed I don't want to see the free ones in my list anymore, and if I didn't like an app and uninstalled it I also don't want to see it cluttering up my list. Does anyone know how to remove the unwanted apps from my list at Google Play (My Android Apps)?
According to Google Play support they're aware of the annoyance and are supposedly working on it, but no ETA.
I agree too, I'm notorious for digital organization (at least to myself ) and it'd be nice to remove superfluous apps from my list, especially since re-adding apps after a new ROM flash can be a bit tedious sometimes, even with Titanium Backup.
I think aside from a chance at making a secondary sale for the developers, ("oh yea, forgot about this app, maybe I'll give it another try", and then later buy the Pro version) it allows you to rate and comment in the reviews section of those apps even after you've removed them from your phone / tablet, so they're probably not in a real hurry to "fix" this issue.
Here's a bug report on the official Google Play Android Apps Developer list for this exact problem -- If you scroll to the very bottom you can put in your vote (and comment if you like) to bump this "bug" up higher on their to-fix list!
Deleting apps from My Apps/My Orders
At this time, there is no way to delete records of old apps either on the Google Play website (play.google.com) or from the My Apps section of the Google Play Store app.
We know that some users are looking for a way to delete old apps from Google Play, and we'll certainly take this into account as we work to improve the Google Play experience in the future.
BEHOLD! THE POWER OF GEEKDROP AND OUR DROPPERS!
Looks like we've gotten through to the "mighty Google Gods"; Google Play Store 3.9.16 will include the ability to remove apps from the All Apps list.
Some of the other new features / changes in the upcoming version include
Remember how you always had to start at the top of the list if you selected one, and the went back to the list? No more! It'll remember your place in the list when you go back.
Instead of getting a generic "this many updates are available" in your notifications, it'll actually say some of the names of the apps available for update.
You'll also see the real icon of the app or apps that have been updated after successful updates, rather than that generic "updated" icon.
Built-in Malware scanner to help prevent those rogue apps from infecting your Android device, making the Google Play store much safer to use (and us more confident in using it).
Google hasn't sent out the update officially yet, but you can grab it right here: Google Play Market v 3.9.16. It's signed by Google, which assures us that it is indeed authentic.
As of the moment there is no way to remove apps from your apps list on Android Market / Google Play.
I totally agree with you, there should be a way to edit the list.
