I'm having a problem -- I added custom Google Calendar events that added Sunrise / Sunset, American Holidays, and Moon Phases which ended up filling every single day up with events in my Google Calendar, so when I automatically sync the Google calendar with the calendar on my Android it's cluttering it all up and making it hard to see my real events. I have gone into my Google calendar and removed the Sunrise / Sunset and Moon Phase Events just leaving the Holiday Events, but all of the other events are still showing in my Android Calendar. I've even tried refreshing my android calendar with it's refresh button, and also making sure that it's still synching with my google calendar, but nothing seems to remove the old events!! Frustrated

Help anyone?

Re: Android Calendar Still Showing Google Events - SOLVED

You need to clear the data cache for your Calendar Storage on your Android phone / tablet.

Go to:

  • Settings
  • Applications
  • Manage Applications
  • The "All" tab
  • Find the "Calendar Storage" app in the list and tap / click it
  • Tap / Click the "Clear Data" button (not the "Clear Cache" button, most likely that one will be grayed out anyway but if it isn't it wouldn't hurt to clear that too)
  • That should do it. On the next Sync with your Google Calendar it should only show the events you have selected to be shown. if you have some sort of Refresh / Sync Now option to do it immediately you can try that as well.

Shhh.. dont tell anyone, but we also have a private forum area with the really good stuff, see?
