Awesome Drop Android App Introduction & Tutorial

Frustrated by having to jump through hoops just to send a picture, or a wallpaper, or a song, or ringtones, or anything to your Android phone? I stumbled across Awesome Drop accidentally in my Android travels, and I have to say, it's one of those apps that will definitely be on my "Cool As Sh*t" list. This app makes it so fast and easy to send files to your phone, and best of all ... 100% free. You don't even have to create any logins to the website. No gimmicks, no hooks, nothing. Just. Truly. Free.

With this app you don't need to hook up anything, or jump through any unusual hoops. You just fire up the Awesome Drop app, go to their web page, and start transferring your goodies! Here's a step-by-step of the process ...

After installing and firing up Awesome Drop on your Android you'll need to go to their webpage at: http://labs.dashwire.com where you'll see an automatically generated unique personal code.

In your App, enter the code in the boxes. (Note: the codes shown are different because I took the screenshots at different times. You'll be entering the same code from the web page into your app).

Once you've successfully entered the code in the app, the web page will show you a DropBox like the one shown above ...

... and in your app you'll also see it happily waiting to receive any files you send it's way...

You guessed it .... you just drag & drop any file or files (you can drop multiple files at one time as well as a single file) onto the giant green "Drop Files Here"box in the web page.

After dropping a file(s) into the box you'll be greeted with an orange progress bar showing you how much of the transfer is complete thus far.

When the transfer completes it'll be listed below the progress bar with any previous files you've transferred. All of the files will be saved in a folder on your SD Card named "Drop". If you long-tap on any file in the list you'll get 2 options; "Open" & "Delete". Really now ... does it get any easier than that?! Applause
