Oprah Winfrey Calling It Quits On Sept. 9, 2011

When Oprah Started out in Television as the host of "AM Chicago" I don't think anyone realized the power house she was to become. She first started AM Chicago January 2, 1984 and on September 8, 1986 she went into syndication trumping over then top talk show host Phil Donahue. Twenty five years later she will be calling it quits on Sept. 9th, 2011.

Microsoft Not So Happy With Family Guy And Yanks Sponsorship

Well as a way to promote Windows 7 Microsoft was going to sponsor the up-coming show on November 8th. When Microsoft sat down to view the completed show they were not please at all. Evidently the show “include riffs on deaf people, the Holocaust, feminine hygiene and incest,” the execs decided that “such material was apparently a bit much for Microsoft.”

Well no worries it will still be shown on November 8th as scheduled and un-cut. Nope Microsoft will not sponsor the show but the part about Windows 7 will still be a part of the episode.

Balloon Boy Was It A Publicity Stunt

Yesterday I think a good portion of us stopped in our busy day to watch this balloon travel for a few hours with the horror that a little 6 yr old boy name Falcon was in. In the end it turned out that he was NOT in the balloon but hiding in a box in his attic. Mean while airports were shut down, the military was alerted, plans were being made to get him down and tons and tons of people sat in horror praying.

Yes I Had Sex

Well if you didn't catch it on Letterman last night then you might have heard it on the news today. Yes David Letterman has had sex. OK big deal but here is the thing - it was with his employees and he was being blackmailed about it. There was a arrest in the case (the man blackmailing him) but last night David came out and admitted it on his show. Here is a clip of it, the video is a little choppy but the audio is perfect.

Then get really upset when people call your monkey a monkey because its in your opinion not, its your daughter. I guess its true anyone can get a reality show. Ed McMahon dies at 86...

The host of Star Search and Johnny Carson's right hand man died peacefully at 86 years of age. He'd been hospitalized for health issues in February. I remember watching Star Search when I was younger and he's always been such a familiar face to me. It's sad but I'm glad it was peaceful...

"Heeeeeerrre's" to you Mr. McMahon...rest in peace...

Wipeout

Anyone else watch this show? It's kinda like a (Japanese) game show, with big obstacle courses and funny commentary. Nothing ground-breaking, no plots, just people falling and getting hit by stuff and competing for 50 grand. It's in my book one of the best shows you can watch when everything else is in reruns. I never get tired of seeing contestants bounce back and forth on the "Big Balls" or get hit in the face by a "Sucker Punch".
