A Facebook Tracker BY Facebook, to see who views your profile? - The list of 10 Facebook friends

So I've been paying pretty close attention over the last few weeks to the Facebook "Friends" List; the plain ol' Friends List that everybody gets just by having a Facebook profile, and call me nuts but, it sure as hell seems to constantly be showing all of the usual friends that I have some sort of regular conversations or interaction with, that you would naturally assume would be frequently visiting your profile, as well as the occasional "non-regular" friend showing up in it. Out of hundreds of friends on my list, the same 10 show up over and over again, even through page refreshes.

So to take it a step further, I've also been paying fairly close attention to the Friends Lists of friends that I know, and their Friends List too also seems to show the same 10 people that I generally see them interacting with. Even if they have 800+ friends, the same 10-ish seem to show up over and over, refresh after refresh. I know for a fact in the past, this was never true, but we all know how often Facebook changes things up and is always making changes to their underlying code, so this may be a 'hidden / undocumented' new thing, which they surely would never announce themselves due to the privacy issue it'd bring up.

I haven't gone deep enough into studying it to see if it is showing the last people who actually loaded up your profile page, or maybe it's the last people who maybe clicked on the "who liked this" link on one of your statuses, or something along those lines, but there definitely seems to be some sort of correlation going on. I think it's worth watching, so if anyone else starts picking up patterns like this, or puts some extra effort into examining this, I'd love it if you shared your thoughts or findings with the rest of the community by posting them here.

Btw, to be more specific, this is the Friends list that I'm referring to, the one to the left of your (or others') profile page itself.

Note: For the paranoid, the relationship cheaters, and so on: if this is in fact a working tracker, and you don't want your visitors to see who is viewing your Facebook profile, you can simply choose to hide your Friends List so that only you are able to view it, and you'll still be able to see your own visitors while others can't.
