So, I have this Facebook friend on my friends list who I do like, but don't want to converse with as much as this person wants to, but I don't want to be rude or mean by directly telling them to ease up a bit. When I make a status post I have this person added to the "hide" area of the custom list of who can see them or not so that they don't see any of my status posting activity. This is great except the person can still see anything that I click Like on and / or any comments I put on any other friends statuses, especially if they have added me as a "Close Friend" which I think literally brings anything I do directly to their attention.
My guess is this must be what the person did because often times, I will purposely refrain from commenting on or liking any status or photo, sometimes for days on end, and then literally within seconds or minutes of finally commenting or liking something I'll get an inbox message from them, and this is even after not replying to many of the person's previous inbox messages. It's crazy!
Like I said, I do like the person and am not interested in removing them or blocking them, what id like to do is just be a able to more control the amount of interacting with them, preferably by hiding any Likes and Comments I do on any one else's stuff. Does anyone know? I hate not being able to use Facebook normally because I'm forced to "hide"!
Well, you can use Facebook app Unseen
Thank you for the suggestion, I've been using a Chrome extension to block my Facebook inbox messages from showing seen: Block Facebook Seen Feature, but that oniy takes care of part of it, the person can still see my comments and likes
