Ok I understand times are tough but you have to wonder what would make a person turn to Do-It-Yourself Plastic Surgery. Well according to the news its happening quite a bit. I'm going to tell you I really don't understand this one. I have nothing against plastic surgery, in fact I could give you the name of a great plastic surgeon in Palm Beach (that I have used). I could never in a million years think of any do-it-yourself procedures.
Inside Edition did a story on it:
So why would anyone do this to their face? She wanted beautiful plump Hollywood lips like Angelina Jolie, and she wanted to fill in a small scar on her face. But she didn't want to spend the $1,000 to have a plastic surgeon perform the procedures. So she looked on the internet, and found what she thought was an amazing deal, silicone for $10.
Only what she bought wasn't medical-grade silicone, it was labeled as a personal lubricant.
But that didn't stop her from loading it into a hypodermic needle and injecting it into her face.
"What were you thinking?" asks Les Trent.
"I was thinking I wanted to save myself some money and be rid of the scar," she says

Then you have Han Hegyon who was a Korean model and singer who became addicted to plastic surgery. When it wasn't enough she decided to try the Do-It-Yourself Plastic Surgery. Only when she couldn't get silicone she tried regular cooking oil. You can see what happened......
So yes as a warning some things are better left to the professionals. Do not attempt any Do-It-Yourself Plastic Surgery. So I have to ask has the thought of doing it yourself ever crossed anyone's mind here?
I've had plastic surgery 4 times. Three times were done when I had skin cancer removed (twice on my face) so it was more to prevent bad scars. When I was 22 I had my chin worked on (I really hated my chin). I did that for me and my family thought I was nuts when I did it then they saw how great it came out. I think that anyone that has plastic needs to do it for them BUT never never a do-it-yourself job. Yeah if I couldn't have afforded it then it simply would not have been done.
That is horrible. Love what you were born with.
oh my.
i'm all for plastic surgery but obviously not DIY, and only within reason. (e.g. those women that get so much plastic surgery that their surgeons say Enough! won't do it anymore!)
I understand needing plastic surgery or even wanting plastic surgery. I don't think i understood wanting it though until after i had a child yall know what i mean.
(e.g. those women that get so much plastic surgery that their surgeons say Enough! won't do it anymore!)

It doesn't get any dumber than that, seriously what were these idiots thinking? And I'm happy with the way I am so I wouldnt be DIY'ing it or getting it done professionally either. !
