How to use Bit Torrent / download a torrent?
Well, I get asked often how does one use a torrent site and I'm asked to explain it simply. Yes you can Google and read all about it, but most of the time it's so technical that you still walk away not understanding. So, let me explain some of the general terms first (and I'll add more as I go on).
i join a site it new. it start wit a e and it has a goat symbol or ram. i erase my pc and cant find it. also if any one had demaniod and rember a use starte with su and know how to spell his user name that help. thank u
Basically my wife tried to surf the internet the other day, but when we opened up Firefox, got Giant warning page!
We couldn't do anything till we agreed that we would no longer be pirates (not in those exact words, but you get the idea)
Basically my friend said just to "continue to change" my "MAC address" and everything should be OK. At the time i was running Peer block like crazy for years...and then one lazy day i forgot to turn it on...WHAM!
So basically i know how to change my MAC address, but what does this really do?
Today I downloaded an update for uTorrent only to discover they want to charge fees. I found this unacceptable and went to their forum to voice my complaint. After the moderator simply banned me rather than replying I have decided to boycott them. You can read my conversation at findingbetter.info/2012/02/utorrent-charges. I find it disguisting that they would care more about money than keeping a clean software. What is your take on the issue?
I downloaded this program that supposedly lets anything be burned to disc. I was looking for music and I think I'm doing what I'm supposed todo. But my question is; has anyone heard of it?
Just about every site on the net you read about the story and it says there is a video but the video is no longer viewable. Well we have a copy of the video and you can see it right here!:
You almost have to feel bad for the folks at Pirate Bay because they really have had a hard time the past two years. Between the owners being prosecuted and now being hacked. OK the hackers are 3 Argentinian guys that not only hacked the site but posted a video of it (which is now private). They hacked Pirate Bay via SQL injections and they managed to get into the administration area and snag ALL 4 million users email addresses and IP addresses. Yeah in the wrong hands like the RIAA and MPAA, copyright organizations it could be really bad.
Just FYI, pirating is illegal. People do get busted. "They" do know who is doing what. Even suggesting is a red flag.
I give the scammers credit this one is clever. There is a new Malware going around that once it hits your computer it runs a scan on your hard drive for any torrent files. When it finds one (legal or illegal ones) you get one of these messages:
If you use uTorrent then before you upgrade to the new version 2.0 you might want to check with your torrent sites to see if its allowed. Quite a few private torrent sites are banning the new version. If your on the old version you are still good. Out of the two main private torrent sites I use one has banned it stating the "unfairness" of it.
