Ok this I do not like. To much power in one hand and to much room for abuse. I see it as a way to also combat piracy because we all know (joking) that piracy is a part of the national security.
As a dear friend (stevie) put it in a email to me and I totally agree with him:
Honda has helped develop a Brain Machine Interface that allows a human to control a robot by thought! Simply by using your brain! How freaky is that?
They show the participant a card with a body part (right arm, left foot, tongue etc) and then direct the participant to visualize or think about making a movement with that body part, the whole time while remaining still themselves. Sure enough, shortly after the robot will move the corresponding body part! Honda claims a 90% success rate so far.
With the more recent laws pasted over in Europe on monitoring internet use and with the reticent Pirate Bay trial that just went on in Sweden there is no better time then now. In June European Parliament will be holding elections and this time they will have a modern day pirate running. Last year a law was passed that Sweden can wiretap any internet activity that crosses their boarders, that did not sit well with alot of folks. So why not put a modern day pirate in office? Its not like he is some drunken smelly pirate with a hook for a arm but modern day pirates look ve

Exempt computer professionals are getting a raise here in California. Labor Code 515.5 has been amended to allow payments to exempt computer professionals on a monthly or salary base. Prior to this change computer professionals had to make a minimuim hourly rate set by the DSLR (Division of Labor Statistics & Research) annually. The hourly rate for 2009 has been increased from the previous $36.00 per hour to a new $37.94. The new minimuim monthly salary exemption is $6,587.50 or a new minimuim annual salary exemption of $79,050.00
I was shocked to read that there are some European nations that do not prosecute for incest. This story made for a intresting read.
Surprising as it may seem, incest is not always a crime in Europe.
