Firefox is trying to get a patch ready to be released within the next week. Apparently there is a vulnerability in the current version that could allow XML files to install unauthorized software. Looks like this is a vulnerability with all 3.0 versions on all Operating Systems. This is super important to get a patch quickly because the attack code was released publicly.

Thanks for looking out, Critter
I'm sure most of you have heard of Adblock for Firefox (if not check it out @ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox/addon/1865), however NoScript (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox/addon/722) is a great addition to Firefox as well. It's a big naggy if you're browsing all over the place, but it'll keep you safe and prevent most browser based attacks by blocking scripts. I run it at home/work and once you've browsed around enough to add rules to allow your regular sites it isn't too much of a hassle..I'd rather click a few times now to allow what I want than allow anything out there with the potential of it being malicious.
I love adblock. Since alot of us do myspace we have here a adblock subscription list to block the trackers. Check it out here: How to Block Trackers the list is updated regularly so check it out
