Ok you need to check out this video - ohhhhhhh this isn't good at all.
What do you think? To much power for Big Brother. This is seriously screwed up. What do you all think?
good question.... but i think its got a little out of control to be honest, where will it stop?Karma, it works every time!
{and disclaimer, i am always first-in-line to shout when obama or his people are doing something that is in my opinion, screwy. and i've been grumbling a lot lately... no offense to anyone.}
, did some checking. it seems that is only when (and when i re-watched the FOX NEWS video he said this too) a dealer logs in. the general public can't log in anywhere that i can see.
for the general public, when you go to http://www.cars.gov/how and click Step 2 you just see a list of if you can qualify and what you should bring to the car dealer. nothing more. the only other option when that screen comes up is to see a PDF version or to Close window.
when you are on cars.gov and scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Privacy it brings you to the US Dept of Transportation's page where it says:
We collect information about your visit that does not identify you personally. We can tell the computer, browser, and web service you are using. We also know the date, time, and pages you visit. Collecting this information helps us design the site to suit your needs. In the event of a known security or virus threat, we may collect information on the web content you view.
I think that is pretty standard for websites in general, right?
And from what i understand all the govn't sites have some semblance of that warning they were talking about when you log in to the govn't system to help prevent/track down hackers. ?? who knows.
But meh i wouldn't be afraid of visiting the site and clicking on stuff, don't think your security will be jeopardized...
Now ask me if i agree with the program that's a diff story
~karma: i'm countin on it~

if you go to the dealer support page, click on submit transaction, you click i agree on that first 'whatever' thing they showed. then it will bring you to a dealer LOGIN page. where it says if you log in, then your computer is considered federal property blah blah blah.
So yeah only if you log in.
And i don't even see a "Register" button. it's either Login or Cancel.

well thanks for the updates geekgirl. I saw this early this morning and didn't really get a chance to check it out so I'm glad you did. Still you have to admit that if they say that on the dealer page that is total BS.
if your financing the pc does this mean you can tell them to send the bill to the gov since they now own it
yeah i definitely wouldn't want to be the dealer and having the goverment IN my computer & my business-literally!
i'd remark further with this relative to current events but yeah.

after contacting the whitehouse bout it, the whitehouse decided to change the wording. Not sure if theyve changed their tactics, but I'd be very suspicious of anything this administration does.
as to when will they stop, probably not til they control every facet of our lives. The burning question is, how do we stop it?

So, if they now own my computer are they going to come install more memory? Cause if so I might like this partnership.
