This annual meteor shower is created when Earth passes through trails of comet debris left in space long ago by Halley's Comet. The "shooting star" develop when bits typically no larger than a pea, and mostly sand-grain-sized, vaporize in Earth's upper atmosphere. i wanted to pass it along. going to try to get mini up so she can watch it.

Single & Not Looking
Years ago there was a great meteor shower out here around 10-11pm, although I can't remember the exact name of it. We were all out by a lake partying it up when it happened, so we saw practiaclly one shooting star after another, for a good long time. I eventually ran out of wishes.
This is a good area for seeing them, not soo many lights from surrounding buildings, like a city, so they're easily visible. Thanks for the heads-up, hopefully I'll be awake around 5am to take a look.
