If you have a iPhone that has been jailbroken then you might want to sit up and take notice of this one. In the Netherlands they are having issues with iphones being hacked. Ok so your thinking no big deal that is the Netherlands and not here - well yeah not here YET but word and howto travels fast so best to get the upper hand and protect your iphone now.
The iPhones in the Netherlands when hacked received a text message - here is a screen shot of one:
Basically pay them a few dollars and they will tell you how to fix it. So before they jump across the pond to us here in the US or if your a member overseas then here is the information you need to know about your phone and how they are doing this. iPhone's have a root password that is automatic default that when jailbroken leaves the phone more vulnerable that and the fact that when you jailbreak your phone you enable the SSH.
The folks at ARS did a story on this and how to better secure your phone. "The incident highlights the fact that jailbreaking removes the security mechanisms that Apple has in place for the iPhone OS—which are as much about securing the device against hackers as they are about preventing "unauthorized" applications. If you do jailbreak, then the onus of security is on you, so be sure to change the root password to something other than the default. You can also disable the SSH daemon when not in use to prevent this particular attack from happening to you."
I want to add a side note about SSH when you jailbreak you don't have to enable SSH ! I never enabled it when I jailbroke mine ! The jailbreak took 2 seconds and its works Great !

I stopped using SSH a long time ago. I hated it anyway. Connecting over wifi was frustrating. I use iPhoneBrowser in Windows 7
and XP.

It's free and allows the same type of access but over USB. It has links for the most commonly accessed areas of the iPhone. You can add favorites as well. It's pretty easy to use.
I uninstalled SSH after playing with for about a month. I never changed my password because I would always turn SSH off when I was done.
