Ok with nothing in the pockets the vest looks ok but I'm sure stuffed you would look like....well a lumpy geek. God forbid you should fall down wearing it 
My kids use to have cool hoodie jackets that were pre-wired is with speakers in the hood. it had a plug in the one pocket that you could plug in your ipod or mp3 player and listen away. They were really cool. I got them at Target on clearance (for like $19.) a few years back. Oh they were waterproof so you could wash them and trust me I did and they worked every time. They outgrew them so they were passed down to relatives kids (minus the ipods).

It says "no bulge".. 
Ohhhhh they jokes that could be made with that one. Serously how can it have no bulge? What does it just make you look fat once its filled up?
Well all those products are pretty slim to begin with, so i'm sure the pockets are designed to reduce bulge 
maybe DoGG could try it out and let us know if it bulges or not
