So I just got a notice when I logged into Gmail that I have Google Buzz now, but I haven't had a chance to really dig into it to see what it's about. I know it's new but maybe someone has had a little time to mess with it already, how is it different than say Google Wave, other than that it's right there in your gmail?

Well, it looks like a Facebook type of clone. You set a status, or can link to sites or images/videos, and anyone who is following you will see them. Here's a few screenshots:
That's the "Welcome" screen, with one status added by me (a link to geekdrop.com) and then a follow-up comment by me, and I also "Liked" it.
Before you make your first post, you have to create a profile. I just went with the defaults and clicked the button:
When you post something, you have an option to let it be public or private by clicking the dropdown combobox:
Ohhhhh it does look like Facebook and I agree how many social sites can one have? Will I do one up yeah probably just to say I have one but I will probably say - go here [facebook]

Wait did your gmail just go "POOF" and now your stuck with google buzz? Can you go back if you don't like it? I might try it out on my spam gmail first and go from there.

Newp, it's a "folder" so to speak, in your Gmail. Like when you click on for example, your Trash folder, or Spam folder, there's a "Buzz" folder.
Ok so your gmail is still gmail then 
Now what if you have other email pop forwarded on that - can you have multi email addresses? Like I pop forward my geekdrop email address there can I just use that for buzz mail or do I have to use my gmail addy?

Everything is the same you just have a new folder with the google buzz stuff in it
OK I'm buzzed and as soon as I signed on it said I was following 16 ppl already and 3 were following me. So basically I started off already a stalker. I had to remove a few that well I have no intention of ever stalking haha.
I don't see me using this much - kinda like WAVE. Fun for a day then ehhhhh.
One heads up with BUZZ which is a huge issue I think be carefull of what you write. Like I'm friends with James on buzz but not his friend Kevin however I saw their whole chat log on my log - no clue why but I did. Sad to say they didn't say anything juicy. So just watch what you say as others can see. To me that is a huge flaw, now maybe its the settings or something but not good at all.
Now at the top of that chat it does say: [name here] - Buzz - Public
Makes you wonder if you can read others buzz logs huh?
