My gmail for some reason lately has been acting up, whenever I click on a link in an email it loads the link in a new tab the way it should, but at the same time the gmail tab reloads itself. I'm using Firefox, does anyone know why this is so I can fix it?
Just out of curiosity, have you disabled or even temporarily uninstalled the Webmail Notifier addon and test without it? Also, do you have any of the Gmail Labs extensions installed on the account that's acting up?
Yep. That was it. I wonder if the original poster had this same problem and solution.
I've mentioned it to the developer. I hope he can fix it since WMN is a really handy add-on......
Thanks!
I searched the bug list and didn't see any mention of the bug so I created a bug report myself here: Webmail Notifier - Clicking External Links Causes Reload of Tab - Mozdez Bug Report
it may help for anyone else having this issue to go put in a comment on the thread to confirm they have the issue as well, to hopefully escalate a bug fix.
I can't help much about the loading probem but have you tried going to Gmail using Chrome browser?

I am having this problem as well: every external link causes the whole Gmail tab to reload.
Did you ever find a solution to this problem?
I'm using FF 12 on Win XP Pro. The only nex thing I have added lately is the WebMail Notifier add-on.
Thanks for any help you can offer
