If you read the article it clearly states this was a rumor that has now been put to rest by Facebook. Until Facebook stops making money it will not shut down. Hell, MySpace is dang near dead and they haven't closed up shop yet. they are laying off a ton of people but not closing. So if MySpace can stay up so can Facebook.

It was just some rumour that spread like a wild fire through twitter and facebook.

So no it won't be gone anytime soon.
