Beyond the Fear
Diving is so wonderful & beautiful. I learned to dive when I was in college - gotta love going to school in FL where yes diving is a scheduled PE if you choose in college. I dont get to dive that much anymore and when I do I have to borrow a friends tanks. My hubby doesn't dive so the only time I get in now is lobster season.
MIW on your comment made me laugh. You will be safe - I'll make sure of it. I've swam with sharks, eels, manatees, sting rays and all types of fish and the only one that ever put me in the ER was stupid sea urchins after stepping on them and getting 70 spines in my feet. So your safe barring we find no sea urchins then your on your own baby!
So see if you should drown or a shark should get you I'm certified to to search and find you, even if its in little pieces.

okay i'm all for a visit down to FL to hang out with a smartmama and learning to swim in your pool is a bonus! especially since you sound like an extremely strong/experienced swimmer. yay! *excited*

MIW....it was on the news and there going to show the guy on the today show (today). OK I posted that pre coffee. Besides I'm pretty sure there is NO SHARKS in my pool. We can hang out in the pool. If we drag her down to the keys by my house there (like walking distance) is a lagoon. You can swim all you want - its the ocean BUT then have it enclosed in a area that has netting. No sharks can get in there, totally safe and lots of fun - plus on the ocean (so ocean water) see:

that looks AMAZING! i have to admit i was a rather cranky Wonderland when i saw that shark link...it made me never want to step into so much as a puddle ever again, but this picture more than makes up for it! i can't WAIT! this trip is sooooo happening! and yay for smartmom offering to teach me!
