Avoiding Facebook Disasters

This is an article from PC World on how to better protect your privacy on Facebook. Seems like there is a whole lot more to know about these options than the average user knows, and they seem to introduce new ones often, sometimes it's hard to keep up. I didn't know quite how to use some of the features listed on here.

Facebooks phished and used to spam!

Last week cybercriminals phished some Facebook accounts, and now they are using those accounts they have access to in order to spam people. Unfortunately it's not only just your normal ole' "increase your size & performance" spam, some of it is pretty dangerous stuff... It sends you to sites that can attack your computer, install all kinds of adware on it, and do other nasties to your computer! Biting Nails (hope that's not what happened to my facebook!)

Facebook hijacked

Yep... me again Sad
I was happily perusing Facebook throughout the day when lo & behold I'm told to sign in again. I go to do so, and whoa guess what? Yep you guessed it... I can't. Hit "forgot password" Oh, but we're sorry that email isn't associated with a Facebook account! WHAT??!!
Ok, login to fake... search my name... THERE'S my account looking at me. Search by email, nope. Not found. Ok, go to email, no email from facebook saying it was changed... what gives?

Facebook in trouble?

It seems as though the Facebook we all know and love is in financial trouble. The only thing that may help it, is if Microsoft buys it out. Would this really help? How much do you think Facebook can improve if bought out by Microsoft?

Facebook Goes Mobile On iPhone

FaceBook Connect Goes Mobile, Arrives on the iPhone

So if you are one who does Facebook and you own a iphone you are now in luck. It looks like Facebook is now hooking up with the iphone apps. So with that will mean two things:

  • More connectivity for iphone users
  • New apps generally means new codes (so start looking).
