What happened to my facebook sent mail?

I've had a facebook for a few years now and I was just looking through some real old sent messages (over a year old) for a certain message , when I look at some of them in the list I can see the subject and the first sentence as usual but when clicking into them , some flash a real quick yellow message saying something about me deleting it and then the message doesn't show anything. Others when I click into them dont even flash the yellow message and theres just nothing there inside the message. Does anybody know whats up ?

Hummmmm.... I just looked and I can still read messages that are 2 years old.
Every single one of them? I am wondering if maybe if the other person deletes it then it won't show me the message?
Well I didn't click every one (since there are way to many) but I just clicked on 15 or so (different users) and no problems. Maybe the person deleted their account or they blocked you????

i have this happening on messages from a few people i have communicated with. They are all still on facebook so it's not a deleted member problem and it's happening on all of them. one of them did block me but i can still read some of the emails it just shows their avatar as the blank facebook one. the messages are still there for some of them but others do like i described. Can anybody else see this happening to thiers? you may be have to look at many.
