So, the superhero epic comes out tomorrow. Who is going see it? I'm thinking I might go with some of my guy friends this weekend... It looks pretty good. Its been in production for many years, dut to a host of issues. The graphics look stunning.
From IMDb:
"Watchmen" is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers - Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity... but who is watching the Watchmen?"
I've read a lot about his movie, being the comic geek that I am; yet somehow I don't think I've ever sat down and read the comic all the way through...
As far as the movie goes, I never make it out to see any movies that I want to see. I think the last one I saw in a theater was Transformers. The next one I'll probably see is the Transformers sequel later this year.
i sooo want to see this. the commercials are awesome and i'm hoping to catch it soon.

Anyone know if this is going to be li'l guy (5 years old) appropriate? My son is a huge super heros fan. I would love to take him to see it. He was very disappointed because I refuse to let him watch The Dark Night
NO. If you wouldn't let him see Dark Knight, you would never want him to see this one. From what I've heard, they pushed the R rating in this one. Nononononononononono.
Agreeing with James here. I think it might be a bit much for a 5 yr old. I know it sucks for him, and when my son was that age, he was very sad that I didn't let him see a lot of movies that he wanted. Sorry Green, I'd say its a no no...
My oldest (who is 16) said no its not one he would take a 5 yr old to see. He said the movie was great but I'll tell you its long as in almost 3 hours. He said lots of action adventure, lots of love scenes and some violence (I wont say what or when as not to spoil it). I asked why he thought it got the R rating he said if you look close at one point they show the blue guys privates. I asked if he would recommend it and he said YES.
You can watch the different trailers HERE.
Bumping this cause I'm curious as to whether or not James Clerk or Phoenix went to see this...if so any comments, reviews? Thanks guys!
