If you want to avoid typing the whole (http://www.domain.com)... just type the site name and hold the Ctrl key and press enter. Works for .com sites mostly (ie) pepsi then hold Ctrl and press enter, it will Automatically enter the http://www. for you. IE and Firefox.

This is an excellent tip that I've used for years and show people all the time. I'm surprised more people aren't aware of this,
. Also, if you do a Shift + Enter instead, it'll fill in the www. + .net instead of .com, and CTRL+Shift with do a .org.
