I actually heard this morning that they believe someone in PA had it back in March and is now better. So maybe we do have an immunity to it after all? I'm with GeekGirl, I don't understand what the panic is about. There must be something we're not being told.
My high schooler said he was going to fake sneeze all day long and drop the fact that his mom just got back from Mexico. I told him that if he does that I may have to beat him (j/k). Kids will do anything to get out of school including tossing mom under the bus
I dunno I think the media is just board and jumping on this like a band wagon - new drama.
Both of my sons actually have colds right now so I'm waiting for the school to tell me the older one can't come back til he's better. I think I may snap if that happens.
I don't really understand the panic either. People freak out very easy, and when it's something that is not common, they freak out even more. Fear of the unknown. Plus the WHO raised the threat level to 5 yesterday, and they say the pandemic is imminent, yeah that is definitely going to freak people out.
Yesterday in here someone coughed into their hand and then proceeded to hand some papers to someone else (the office bully) with said hand, and was told that if she gets her sick from the coughing she will "slap her around".!!! Out of control? yeah for sure. The bully is obsessed with the Swine Flu and she will be dealt with accordingly for threatening the cougher. Can't wait to see that
