That's not a distraction. That's just called "taking advantage of all the island has to offer". He could've knocked boots that night and still played the "game". In fact, like most guys, he'd want her gone the second he was done, so he'd have even more reason to vote her off. 
If I were on the show, you could watch me point atcha (the camera) wink and smile, when ya saw me write "Colby" on my card.
