While there are security alerts almost every day, we feel that this particular matter should come to your attention. Microsoft has issued a temporary fix for the problem until they can have a full update. This fix may or may not apply to your computer.

A vulnerability has been uncovered which MAY allow an attacker to pose as you on certain websites. If you use online email, such as Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail, it's possible that someone could send out emails using your name. Other damage could be done as well. Microsoft has issued a workaround until they have a permanent fix:
First, answer the following 2 questions:


In Internet Explorer, go to the following Microsoft Support page: Clicky (You can read more about the issue on this page.)
Scroll down on the page until you see two FixIt icons.
Click on the left FixIt icon - the one labeled "Enable."
Choose RUN in the windows that appears.
Choose RUN in the second window that appears.
Place a checkmark in the "I agree" box in the next window.
Click NEXT.
If you are running Vista or Windows 7, agree to any security window which appears.
After the Fix installs, click CLOSE.
This Fix will protect your computer until Microsoft issues a better update.
