While trying to clean up my computer I came across a folder on my C: drive named "MATS" that I have NO idea what it is or where it came from and was wondering if it's safe to delete it? Thanks for any help!
It sounds like you've had some computer problems in the past and ran; at least one "Microsoft Easy Fix" to try and fix it? The MATS folder is created by the Easy Fix program(s). One of my huge pet peeves is software that doesn't clean up after itself, and Microsoft is definitely guilty of this.
Short Story:
It is safe to delete th MATS folder.
Best Bet:
Rename it to "MATS.DEL", then run your computer for a few days. If no issues arise, go ahead and delete it; if issues arise, just rename it back to MATS.
Shhh.. dont tell anyone, but we also have a private forum area with the really good stuff, see?
