Just had a fun phone conversation with the food admins at the district.. now its time to sit and wait for my apology phone call from the cafeteria manager. .. I sure hope she brought her chapstick today

We absolutely can not stand the cafeteria people at or school. They are mean to us and even more mean to our students. They make kids think they don't have a choice but to follow the rules, but you are right they do have to make substitutions for allergies and family/religious beliefs. You show those cafeteria bullies Green!

ugh wow, sorry you and your son were treated that way. that's terrible! how irresponsible of them. i hope someone is able to help you and they're able to deal with that stupid lunch lady.

So here we go AGAIN! I posted a comment in the Good Morning thread on 6/8/09 regarding getting scammed by Google, basically charging stuff on my credit card that I didn't authorize. So here we go again, I just logon to pay my credit card bill and lo and behold there's a charge for $12 that is unrecognizable, so I call the 800 number that it listed beside the charge and apparently when I ordered flowers from FTD for my mother 2 months ago, I gave them permission to charge me $12 a month? for what? "Complete Savings" is what they're called. I am LIVID right now Angry So what, I can't order anything online anymore without some hidden krap that says they can start charging me for something I didn't authorize? I mean seriously, WTF is going on lately. I read everything when I order online so what is going on? How can I stop this from happening? Has anyone else had an experience like this? This is out of control. I mean this was only $12 but I still had a fit with the rep on the phone, but what next? $100? $200? where does it stop?

I was trying to open a Discover card to transfer a balance. So when i received this call i thought it was necessary. These weren't even discover people i later found out {they were Epixtar Marketing, a hired third party}. They were calling to verify my information (when i asked what my interest rate would be and they couldn't answer that should've been my first clue. They wanted me to enroll in this Payment Protection Plan thing, which they made it sound like was free, but i know better than that. I said they could send me some information but i didn't want to be enrolled though. Mistaaaake. Got a letter saying i'm enrolled. Apparently, all it takes is you saying OK to receiving more information in the mail. I have to call tonight to get off of it and ask for proof of cancellation bc they're tricky. ANd you have to do it quick because if you cancel within a month or something then they can erase the charges, but if you don't open your mail or don't notice it....oofta!
Think i'll still tranfer my balance though.

I just cancelled my card, I'm not taking any chances with them trying to get another payment off me this month. But not before getting stopped by a cop for being on the phone with the bank cancelling my card, ARRGHHH this is not my day Crying I'm also filing fraudulent charges that my bank is going to look into. They will credit me back the amounts they took in the meantime. So thats something at least. Good luck with yours GG !
