Well this would be ipod #6 that I have bought. Out of the other 5 only 1 is working still and it has its moments (its a 80GB). I really had sworn that I would NEVER by another ipod again and look at me - I'm a mess
. I would never own a iphone because well I like to actually talk on my phone and yes I do send out MMS messages with photos.
My zune is a 120GB one and I do love it - its awesome. This ipod is my middle sons. He saved his money over the summer working at my office in the shop and cutting the grass so he bought it with his money. In the end it was his decision and he took him a while to really decided. I do think he will be happy. I also ordered a cool cover for it HERE.

They must've been treated pretty harshly? I've had mine for years now, and it's a little scuffed, but still runs as good as the day I got it, and I've taken that thing everywhere with me; strapped to my arm while running, at the gym working out with weights, in my car hooked up to the stereo, in the garage hooked up to a stereo, you name it. That's one thing I've liked about it is it's durability.
The iPhone does seem cool to me (if it were on Verizon), but it seems a little awkward in size/shape to be used as phone. At least theoretically, since I haven't ever had my grubby paws on one yet.
i want a nano that you can shoot video with. oh well i can dream

I've never used a Zune, but my mom just got a brand new iPod touch and she loves it. I played around with it a bit too, and once you get it all setup with a net connection it really is nice. I've also never gotten my hands on an iPhone yet (I have Verizon), but it 'seems' to me that it's identical to an iPhone minus the ability to talk on it. A lot of stuff other than just listening to music can be done on it.
Funny thing for me though is, I'm still in love with my 'old' 5G iPod.
