Conan and Leno times are changing

It looks like Conan O'Brien's last 'Tonight Show' will be tomorrow. O'Brien signed an exit deal with NBC that is reportedly worth $45 million.
Yep I heard that, $12 million is going to his staff. Im hearing so many different things about this whole thing, does anyone know the real reason why this whole thing happened, methinks Jay starting stirring the pot.
Leno had nothing to do with it. Actually, he wanted to break his contact when he lost the Tonight show, because he knew the new show wouldn't work out. But he went along with it. Conan was promised two years minimum with the Tonight show, Leno would do fine at 10. Well, Leno didn't do great, but he did okay. Conan couldn't get many views, and he was at roughly half of what Leno had when he left. Neither host really had time to build a good fanbase, because the nightly news people started getting grumpy. Apparently they weren't happy with Leno's show, because they felt like they were getting fewer viewers as a result of Leno, which meant less people for their news. Apparently news outlets make most of their money at 11, so they raised hell. If they hadn't, both shows would have stayed the same.
So, the network was in hot water. They had two shows that were just doing okay, and pissed off news people. So, Leno was going to go to 11:30, and the Tonight show would go to midnight. Leno really didn't want to do this, and he requested his contract to be broken again. When they said no, he agreed to the 30 min show if Conan would stay. Personally, I think both shows would suffer if this happened. So Conan said no. But he was still in a contact. This is where things get confusing... I'm not sure why NBC decided to pay him that much. They could have forced him into a midnight show, because his contact didn't say when his show would be. I think that after everyone started trash talking NBC, and all the news outlets were following the story closely... NBC wasn't a fan of that.
So Friday will be Conan's last show. Leno gets the Tonight show back, and they hope he can get the #1 late night talk show back. Conan, if I had to guess, will go to Fox, because they don't have a late night program yet.
Leno did what he was told. He got screwed. So did Conan. Really, NBC shouldn't have done comedy at 10, because everyone wants drama. They messed everyone up.

Well I won't be watching Leno on the Tonight Show again, thats for sure. I can't help but think that hes very secretly happy this happened, I'm failing to see where exactly Leno gets screwed, he has the Tonight Show back how is that getting screwed? Conan is the one who got screwed. Although he has about $30+ million in his pocket right now and is not allowed to do a show until at least September, I'm sure he'll be back and I'll be waiting for him 
Because they wouldn't let him go, and he pretty much got fired twice.
Conan got the best deal here anyway.

Yeah Conan definitely made a killing financially, but its still not fair putting the money aside. NBC SUCKS!!
I agree NBC does suck - atleast on this. I must admit I do like Leno better but I was getting use to Conan but I still would pick Leno over him any day. Either way I think everyone got screwed on the deal but atleast Conan makes out with a ton of money so that is good. I'm sure he will be on in Sept on another network laughing at NBC.
Ok so I watched Conan again last night and I have to say that at first when the whole time change thing happened the mud slinging was funny and I had been laughing up till last night. Now I'm at the point where you have to say come on Conan enough and stop being such a cry baby. I mean with the economy as it is and the fact that he got paid a butt load of money his wanting to screw the network by wasting money has gotten a little much. I mean with the horse wearing a mink and showing a football clip and him saying that he just cost the network XXX millions of dollars (I think last night was a little over 4 million) is a little much. Now instead of looking like he got screwed he is looking like a sorry looser. Many family's are wondering where their next meal is coming from or are they going to loose their house/apt because they can't afford it and you have this idiot who just got paid multi millions of dollars. I'm sorry he just isn't funny any more and more like the sore looser. Any possible sympathy I had for him is long gone, he needs to just move on.
Who's New
I still don't find Conan funny at all. I don't think Leno should retire, since he had such higher ratings with the Tonight Show then Conan. As much as I dislike him, I do think Conan got the short end of the stick. Personally, I think Conan should go to another station and give Leno back the Tonight Show... Everyone would benefit.
