Since we were just discussing him in another forum I thought I'd put this book out there. The Wedding. It is a sequel to the Notebook. The son in law of Allie & Noah struggle with his marriage of 30 years and he has to face the upcoming marriage of his daughter. He reflects on the love affair his in laws shared in order to help him save his own.. I am almost done with it and it is another "great" from a talented author.
Ohhh they sound so good. I know that books are 10 times better but with three kids one book could take me a year (which is why I stick to short stories or magazines). So dare I ask are any of these out in movie form?
yes!
At First Sight was made into a film. Although, the book is wayyyy better. But, a not so weird looking Val Kilmer stars so yay! Also, Nights in Rodanthe was released as a movie sometime last year I think. Richard Gere is in it if I'm not mistaken. Oh and I forgot to mention A Walk to Remember which is also in film form and a real tear-jerker *lol*.
How could I forget about a walk to remember? I LOVE the book and the movie was really good too
I just read Nights in Rodanthe yesterday! It was good! a little short and predictable, but it had a really great message and i'm sure will strike a chord with certain people. It did for me!
I recommend the book or the movie (though i have not seen it) for those who have ever lost love by any means. (not a spoiler)
Edit* forgot to mention the ones i have read by Sparks are: (obviously Nights in Rodanthe,) Message in a Bottle, At First Sight, A Walk to Remember, and The Notebook.
a little short and predictable,
This is how I found "A bend in the road". I had already figured out who the culprit was from the beginning. That was the first and last book I've read by this author.
yes i remember that it was easy to see what was going to happen but it was a lovely story all in all. and you're right. definitely a nice message behind it. his stories always have these great little heartfelt messages. he's so good at touching all the mushy feelings you have or ever had. *lol*
"Most everyone's mad here.

"You may have noticed that I'm not all there myself."
My aunt is reading Dear John by Sparks.. I will be getting it from her when she is done. Have you read this one yet MIW?
no i haven't read that one yet. just looked it up though. sounds like a good read!

In a land of wonderous things...
I read The Wedding and The Notebook. Both such good books. Equally good from Nicholas Sparks- The Rescue, Nights in Rodanthe, At First Sight, A Bend in the Road, and True Believer. Can you tell I'm a Sparks fan?
It's a side of me I try to hide.
