Alphabetically arranging your application icons on an iPhone, iPad and / or iPod touch is simple. The process is the same on all 3, however for illustration purposes, I'll show you how to do it in an iPhone:
Go to the "Home Screen" and tap on the Settings icon.
Tap on the General option on the Settings screen.
At the bottom you will see Reset, tap it.
On the Reset screen, tap "Reset Home Screen Layout".
Now, when you go to your "Home Screen" again you'll find the default apps, followed by all apps that you've added yourself, and they'll be in ALPHABETICAL order!
If you also need to know how to manually re-arrange your apps, or uninstall your apps, read our simple tutorials here: Re-Arrange Your Apps, Uninstall Your Apps.
If you have any tips, trick or hacks of your own, big or small, I wanna hear them! Please post them below of in your own new thread!
Good point, thanks for the heads-up!
Perfect instruction!
If you follow these directions for your iPad, it will not only arrange alphabetically back to factory settings, but if you have arranged folder icons it will delete your folders to rearrange your icons alphabetically individually. Headache!
