If you're referring to the Broadcom NIC driver that Jayson mentioned in his post, the best thing to do would be to just Google it since it appears that there are several versions of the Acer Aspire One: Acer Aspire One Broadcom NIC Driver
Also, it never hurts to ask, have you double-checked to see that you have WiFi enabled but turning the WiFi switch on? (See Smartmom's post).
Ok this may sound stupid but by any chance did you hit off the button to the WIFI? I know on my laptops that I have here and work all have WIFI buttons. If the button is off then I can connect to the network and it will say that I am connected to a network but I get nothing as far as internet. Look for a button, one of my sales guys has a acer and I think its on the front right hand side.
Ok gotta love google but do you have this button?
I also found this:
from the sounds of that article it sounds like Acer is having driver issues and you need to update those. If that is the case and you can not get online then download the updates from another computer and put them on a flash and update it that way.
EDIT:
Guess you found the problem but I'll leave this post here also incase this thread is googled.
and Yes I did hit the wifi button
Oh and one more thing instead of Atheros (which I deleted)
I had to use the Broadcom driver instead !
EDIT: OH I almost forgot the model # is KAV60 but you need to know that Acer supports it as AOD250 just so ya know
so Model KAV60 is really AOD250
Smh, sad to say neither one of those suggestions worked. this sux
