yeah and then we would have to toss in some 3 doors down, third eye blind, Daughtry, black eye peas, smashing pumpkins, then some classic metal like AC/DC, Zeppelin and Kiss

Alright, all afternoon I've been on youtube. Somedays my creative side just jumps and I write all day. Sometimes I want inspiration, so I listen to music. Now, I'm an old school guy myself. I've been listening to a lot of Styx (my favorite group), Bon Jovi (next favorite), some Beatles, Elton John, Queen, some MJ... I love songs that still find truths today.

Now, I'm a metal man myself but I am in love with Jessica Lee Mayfield. Also in the similar genre of singer songwriter would be old Rocky Votolato. Both sing of things that sound like they'd be sweet but the lyrics are about painful things. Like heart ache. Kind of like if alt country went singer songwriter. Speaking of Al Country, any old Lucero is amazing. Check out Tennessee, That Much Further West or the self titled. Avoid the two newer cds.
