Google made a announcement that it will be testing a ultra high speed internet that will boast speeds of one gigabyte per second and all FREE of change. They plan to test it in one city, possibly more for 50,0000 to 500,000 customers. Well as you can imagine the bidding war is on. So since its free how do you bid? Well you simply try and get Google's attention
So what would you do if you were trying to get Google's attention? Well here are some things that HAVE been done already:
Here is the video of the mock press Conference from Duluth
Hundreds of cities plan to apply and the applications are due on Friday. So if you were google would the stunts above play into your thought process? If you were a mayor what would you do to try and get Google's attention or would you simply fill out the application? You know the mayor who does snag this nice little perk for their city will almost guarantee a win in their next election.
OUCH!!!!! I guess you do want it.

Hey I found you another option besides dragging your manhood on open glass. You need to move to the poor neighborhoods in Cleveland.
Now they just put fiber lines in my neighborhood I guess 2 weeks ago but its not totally done. Now what speeds I'll get I dunno but I'm excited to see.

Single & Not Looking
I want to officially go on record right now, for my city I'll don a Himalayan Panda suit, with a hole trimmed out for my applebag to dangle from, and I'll drag them through a 5 foot long pile of broken lightbulbs, old 1970's Pepsi bottlecaps and crumpled up foil wrappers from the Ding Dongs and Ho Ho's of my youth (I might've just dated myself there), all while nibbling on bamboo.
I WANT it.
