So I'm on the phone with my nephew and he tells me that he spilled orange juice all over the keyboard on his laptop, what's the best thing to do with it? He says that it's still working and he put it on the radiator (is that smart?) I told him that it will probably start acting weird sooner or later, so far it hasn't, what's the best thing to do at this stage?
Well first things first, as soon as you spill anythign on the keyboard, you have to reach down and suck as much of the foreign substance up with your mouth as you can. Then dab with a clean towel.
If it's something sticky, you can try popping the keyboard out of the laptop and try to take a damp rag to it and wipe as much as you can off of it's innards. I'd get it off the radiator though, stat.

I say he pops a bottle of champagne and makes some PC Mimosa's
OK how long ago did he do this? I have heard (never tried it) that if you put a wet electronic divice in a bag of rice that the rice will absorb the liquid. I do hope he atleast got all that he could off of it. As for the radiator part - smack that boy! If he warps the mother board because it got to hot then its toast. I would recommend at the very least he starts to back up his files just in case.
