I found this story pretty funny. As if one's drivers license photo isn't bad enough, now you can't smile or at least show teeth. I'm not happy with my DL photo as I'm sure a lot of others aren't either. A smile I think allows one to look slightly better in a government issued photo. What does your DL photo look like? Are you happy with it? Do you think we should be allowed smile? I wonder how many states will follow suit.
"Few places in Virginia are as draining to the soul and as numbing to the buttocks as the branch offices of the Department of Motor Vehicles. And yet, until recently, smiling was still permitted there.
No more. As part of the DMV's effort to develop super-secure driver's licenses and foolproof identification cards, the agency has issued a smile ban, directing customers to adopt a "neutral expression" in their portraits, thereby extinguishing whatever happiness comes with finally hearing one's number called.
The driver's license photo, it seems, is destined to look like a mug shot."

so, I cheated on my DMV picture. No teethy grin, but I did make sure to go for a pic re-take when my neighbor was working. Now I dont have to be beyond embarrassed to flash my id.
Thank you to my neighbor for all the re-takes.. and it only cost me the price of a Venti from Starbucks

That is a great pic green. I don't have a scanner here at work or I would show mine.
I've had my suspicions, but it's becoming more & more obvious as time goes on: Apparently female GD applicants have to meet rather rigorous appearance standards before being accepted. I can live with that...
OK can't leave a friend hanging here alone so I scanned my pic - here ya go...
Where's the "I LIKE IT!" button?
that is a good picture! my dear sis from anotha motha who did you know at the DMV for re-takes????
thanks but no one. I was sick as a dog here too. My purse had been stolen the day before so I had to get a new one. I think I waited for 2 hours to get that. I was pleased with the pic and it was the first and only pic they took
