Personally I've never heard of "Verizon Routers", but I'm just assuming it's a standard router (correct me if I'm wrong anyone). Once things are working you generally won't need to log in to the admin area of your router unless things go wrong (like you start losing connection that a simple unplug, wait, plug back in, of both your modem and router won't fix).

There's one other case that most people will usually log in to the admin area of thier router for; some programs, or games may require you to forward a certain port(s) number to your specific computer behind the router, so that it can communicate with the internet easily. This isn't a very frequent thing for most people, so if you ever find that you need to know how to forward a port, just come here and ask away, and one of us can easily tell you.

That's what I figured,too. I think I made it sound as though the brand name of the router was verizon, which may be the reason you've never heard of one, it doesn't exist! Thanks for the help, though, you always come through. julie
