Nearly $3 million worth of checks – the average check is $765 – were returned to the agency because of incorrect addresses, IRS spokesman Raphael Tulino said.

They'll send you a letter asking you for your Personal Information (SSN, Copy of Driver's License, Address, etc), you fill it out, send it back to them, and if you're the correct person they will send you your $$. If you're not, you won't get into trouble!
