Now I'm all for being healthy but now days you look at the girls in the advertisements and they look like they are either anorexic or the photo has been airbrushed. Well I think alot of people are saying enough is enough. Ralph Lauren came out with a new ad and its striking some controversy. Its been reported that the photo is photoshopped by some sites but I'll leave that up to you to decided.
Yeah her head is larger then her pelvis which makes you wonder.
Then on the flip side you have a photo shoot with plus size models showing off their curves. They do represent the average woman. They are also very proud to show off their curves.
The one model Lizzy Miller (in the middle) as you remember we did a story on Plus Size Model Bares All (NSFW)
So what are your thoughts? What would you rather see? What do you think both of these images are teaching our young children (girls)? In your opinion do you thin the first picture (Ralph Lauren) was photo shopped?
I found this and had to laugh - a site re=photoshoped the pic to what they think the girl should look like
I agree - sooooooooo much better here on the right
SM I agree but the one on the right need a bith of "meat" on the arms. Still to skinny to my likeing
Yeah I think they just did the hips and rib cage area. Her hand on her hip is quite gross. It looks almost fake.
I think I like it best somewhere inbetween the 2 pics. However if I have to choose i'll take the "fuller" body everytime.
The Kate Moss look never appealed to me.
For me, it really all just depends on how it all looks on the individual girl. I've been known to have skinny girlfriends, and "plus sized" girfriends as well. (But not at the same time
)
In general though, I tend to like my girls with a girly shape, and not a guy shape. When they get too skinny, they start looking guyish to me. I like a juicy bootay on a girl, and I'm a big strong guy, I don't want to feel like I'm gonna hurt a girl, if ya know what I mean. I like + ... but not +++.
In fact, the girl at the bottom right corner in the + sized pic is lookin pretty dang good to me right about now,
.
Being a photoshop guy, sorta, that original pic just looks a little ... off ... to me. Like it may have been photoshopped to begin with, to make her look a little more emaciated than she really is, it's easy to do in photoshop, takes literally about 5 seconds to make some one skinny.
Btw, I'm starting to like this new term, "plus sized". Is that the new politically correct term for the non-caloric-challenged? If I meet a girl in a bar and call her "plus sized" will she smile at me and say thanks?
>> I meet a girl in a bar and call her "plus sized" will she smile at me and say thanks?
Somehow I don't think so because it all depend on what the individual see as "plus sized".
The whole problem is the perseption of what is the ideal weight. Ask 10 girls and you will get 7 different answers
If a girl is "plus sized" she might think she is either overweight And in her perseption a ++ or if she is happy with
her weight she might not be happy if you see her as a +.
I think a lot on how a women feels about herself affects the way other people see her. I have a gut feel that the
mayority of the time if the girl is happy with the way she looks she will have a better body language and that effects
the way guys look at the girl.
Then again I am male and will never be able to understand the female way of thinking.
P.S. I agree with DoG. The one in the right bottom corner looks just fine to me too
Ask 10 girls and you will get 7 different answers
yep, and even if you ask the same girl the same question 10 different times, you'll often get 7 different answers.
you guys are funny
I think depending on what time of the month you ask her also might determine on how she takes it. I also agree it depends on how the woman sees herself will also play a part. I mean I'll be the first to say I would def. fall more into the plus size and I am find with my body but would I like some guy to call me that in a bar - ahh no I would think he is a azz.
Single & Not Looking
Wow, that is one skinny girl, ugh....i dont see how any man can find someone that bony attractive. The girls on bottom are so much more realistic and more beautiful. I'm hoping that these are the ones that become more "socially acceptable" as opposed to the top one, because I would hate to have a daughter that would look at her as a role model.
