Wow... What a weird time to be a star. Mays was only 50 (same as MJ.) Early reports suggest that a hard landing yesterday *might* have been the cause of his death.
He first surfaced nationally when he became friends with rival salesman Max Appel, who founded OrangeGlo International. The company hired Mays to go on the Home Shopping Network to sell its line of cleaners: OxiClean, Orange Clean and Orange Glo.
Since then, he had appeared in infomercials for "as seen on TV" inventions like the Steam Buddy, Mighty Mendit and the Ding King.

What a crazy week! And here I thought this was just some twisted joke going around in the WoW Trade chat. His last Twitter message is very eerie.
It's that twitter message that might have killed him. Though I can't find a good news story that talks about it, I saw on CNN where he got hit in the head hard by luggage that fell out when the plane hit the runway. He said that, "I got hit hard, but I have a hard head." Maybe not...
They just showed a new blurp of him being interviewed in Tampa by a reporter where he did say yes he was hit on the head hard. It was a US Airways flight and it hit the runway so hard that it blew the two front tires. They said all of the passengers were checked out by EMT, including Billy Mays. Another reporter said that he had a phone interview with him last night and he sounded "off". He had told the reporter he just signed a big contract with Taco Bell.

Well, I guess there's still a 'glass is half full' perspective to be had during this ... at least I won't have to listen to him yelling at me to eat a chalupa.
Is it just me, or did anyone else think he did some major coloring of his beard? I'm not even 40 yet, and my entire chin is white; he was fiddy and his beard was as dark as the day is long.

I just read his twitter page. He was going for hip replacement number 3. How many hips did he have? I knew a guy who yelled that much wasn't human ...

well you never know. My hubby will be 43 and he is sporting a full beard right now. I think between his beard and head he may if I look hard enough have 3 gray hairs total that is it. Me on the other hand well lets just say I have a standing appointment every 3 weeks. If I didn't I'm pretty sure I could get the senior discount places

Very very sad. He seamed like he was the yelling type so maybe stress - thats not good on the heart. Either way I'm sorry to hear he passed. 50 is to young to die - period. RIP Billy Mays
