So besides the fact that iphones have a certain sexiness to them they are really hot - seriously. Hummm maybe time to relook at getting the insurance for your phone if you have the iphone 3G. Reports have it that the phones are overheating to the point that the white cases are getting a pinkish/brown look to them (baking the paint maybe). It seams to happen more for those who play alot of games or use their GPS alot. So word to the wise get insurance. Here is a pic of a toasty little phone

OK its not just a few ppl complaining but lots. One included Melissa Perenson from PCWorld who said
And at some point, I became aware the handset had become very hot. Very, very hot & not just on the back, but the entire length of the front face, too. I was using a game, and then later the Web browser for reading the news about Michael Jackson, all over a Wi-Fi connection while plugged in. And in those circumstances, well; toasty doesn't even describe how surprisingly hot it got. It was too hot to even put the phone against my face. No discoloration to report, though; I have the black handset, and didn't see any effects.
Some 2G ipod touch users are complaining of the same thing and they are all saying it has been more noticeable since they upgraded to the new v3.o software.

The article I saw said we were talking about the 3GS, and not the 3G. Though, my 3G can get pretty warm, but not THAT hot.
Awww,.. well then, I guess it was a good thing I didn't get one just yet. I have an iPod Touch that I just love, so I was eyeballing the iPhone 3G for the photos and video options, as well as everything else.
Guess I'll have to wait.
Apple issued a warning today about it:
since its normally over 95 degrees here I'm soooooooooo glad I dont have one.

In a land of wonderous things...
thankfully i haven't had that problem yet.
*hugs iPhone close*
