In chicago, beatings and shootings happen all the time and completely go unreported by the media. but this time it was an honor student and it was caught on video too

And this (among other recent headlines) may be very unfortunate timing for President Barack Obama as he tries to make the case for Chicago for the Olympics in 2016. Well, who knows though. We will find out Friday...

So heartbreaking, and those statistics are really frightening, I hope the system makes an example of these killers, but something drastic needs to be done for sure!
EDIT: As far as having the olympics there, yeah maybe its a good idea, it will force the mayor and other officials to do something about the city they live in!

Oh I saw this on TV - so sad. I could hardly watch it. My heart breaks for that family. I hope they throw the books at those kids - animals!!!
